Quilt Conference Registration

Welcome! We are excited about our conference and are glad you are interested in attending.  There is no fee for attending the conference but it will help us a lot if we know how many people to plan for. This is especially true for the workshops as we need to have adequate space. Please note that you must bring your own supplies for each of the workshops.  Click on the links for the workshops to find out what you need to bring.

We also need to know if you are joining us for lunch. Please use the Paypal button to reserve your lunch. If you prefer to send a check please send it by April 3 to Dr. Beth Vanlandingham, Box 71946, Carson Newman University, Jefferson City, TN 37760. Make checks to AAHA!

To make your reservation for $10.00, click the ‘Buy Now’ button below.

I am a quilt appraiser and a grad student in East Tennessee State’s Appalachian Studies program. Would it be possible for me to become a member of AAHA? Would you be interested in having other students from the undergraduate and graduate programs in App Studies join or come to your events?

I am appraising and doing bed turnings at the Appalachian Heritage Quilters’ show in Gray TN the weekend of your conference. But I would like to come for the Friday evening events and bring two student appraisers from Tennessee.

The quilt show in Gray is at the Crossroads Christian Church and will be open Friday and Saturday. It is 56 minutes from Morristown and perhaps some of your members would like to come Friday morning before the AAHA Conference. All are welcome. If anyone is interested in learning more about quilt appraising, I will have a “walk-in” appraisal booth there and would love to talk about it.

There is a group called the Tennessee Quilt Study Group that meets about three times a year. Membership is by email list and interested persons should send their email address to Merikay Waldvogel at quiltalive@aol.com. Their are no dues or officers and all are welcome here too.. We usually have a speaker, and a Show and Tell. The focus is on Tennessee quilt history. I am going to send your conference information to Merikay to go out to the group.

Thank you for all of this great information! We are happy to share this infor with others. Our group is also a grass-roots organization that has no membership fees or dues. We are all-volunteer! We welcome anyone to join us. There will be more information about our meetings at the conference and we will look forward to meeting you!
